As much as ads annoy us if we have to sit through them at moments not of our choosing, when we get to watching beautiful commercials by incredibly creative designers and directors we can’t get enough. Our latest round-up of cool (mostly) new commercials is all about animation (mostly computer animation, but not exclusively), and [...]
Today is September 11 – in case you’d forgotten, in which event you must not be a Patriot (today is also Patriot Day) – the 8th anniversary of a certain event that changed the course of modern history. Of course, no horrifying act of death and destruction is beyond the purview of advertisers constantly looking [...]
Today, for no apparent reason we’ve managed to discover in our research, is Plumber’s Day. Plumbers had an unusually big year in 2008, what with the whole Joe the Plumber meme, now reporting live from Israel. Mostly, though, plumbing is a thankless (and surprisingly lucrative) job that doesn’t even have a celebrity spokesperson. Well, they [...]
It’s no big secret, we here at Listicles are equally obsessed with creative commercials and print ads, and really anything that puts commerce to the service of innovative art. TreeHugger shows us some such animals in their listicle of 10 Underexposed Endangered Species. That environmental conservation superstar-in-waiting at right is the Iberian Lynx [...]
I wonder what it’s like to live in a world where “said” is spelled with an “e” and typos are the norm. This list from DelSquacho displays various butcherings of written English.

Here at Listicles, we’re very much in favor of new beginnings, fresh starts, re-inventions and re-definitions (did you notice we re-vamped our logo about a month back, huh, isn’t it new, sexier and therefore better?). That said, we’re also very much not in favor of being given something packaged as “new” that is in fact [...]
