10 International Women's Day Posters
Today is the 100th International Women’s Day, which seems especially fitting in light of Kathryn Bigelow taking home the first Best Director Oscar ever won by a woman last night for her excellent Iraq War thriller Hurt Locker. At any rate, the holiday grew out of what used to be a Soviet block celebration known as International Working Women’s Day, and is now celebrated in most of the civilized world. Barbarian countries that have yet to recognize the day include the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Canada. Oh well, in the time being we’ll posterize the Internet with these 10 International Women’s Day Posters until they get the message.

Okay, so this is from Canada, a non-IWD celebrator, but seriously Quebecers will use any occasion to organize a protest.

Apparently in Australia IWD is sometimes celebrated a few days late. We like that they include men and/or androgynous women in the festivities.
