10 Imaginative Animated Ads
As much as ads annoy us if we have to sit through them at moments not of our choosing, when we get to watching beautiful commercials by incredibly creative designers and directors we can’t get enough. Our latest round-up of cool (mostly) new commercials is all about animation (mostly computer animation, but not exclusively), and imagining new worlds. We’ve pared down our favorites into these 10 Imaginative Animated Ads.
“Nike Cortez” by PostPanic, Martijn Hogenkamp, Tokyoplastic
This fun spot reminds of the shoe sculptures of Canadian contemporary artist Brian Jungen.
“Money Makes the World Go Round” for WWF
The world is like a global game of dominoes!
Alessi Figures designed by Massimo Giacon
This holiday gift commercial seriously looks like it was made by someone on acid. What’s that green and pink thing with the giant ears supposed to be?
“The Boy Who Didn’t Stop, Look and Listen” by DfT
Well that’s an awfully sad beautiful ad.
“Together” for the Buenos Aires Zoo by Mateus De Paula Santos, LOBO.CX
Aw, man, cute overload! We’d better go to the Buenos Aires zoo.
Honda Accord “Instruments” by Andy Hall for RPA
We don’t really see the connection between the jazz musicians and the car, but it sure is a pretty non sequitur.
“How Will You Create the Universe?” by Encyclopedia Pictura
We’re not sure what this spot is promoting exactly, but it’s by the same folks who made Bjork’s “Wanderlust” video.
Fanta “Mime” and “B’Good” by Psyop
We’re not sure this is the look they were going for, but that pool party kind of reminds us of Boogie Nights.
Why does that one character, the one who doesn’t get swallowed by a couch monster, have a yellow bean growing in his hair?
Diet Dr. Pepper “I Exist” by Ken Lidster of Bent Image Labs
As much as we dislike Dr. Pepper (and all soft drinks, really), this ad is quite awesome. We wonder why there’s no bearded white guy in a toga in that support group.
