As kids we were total trampoline addicts – we were on that thing all the time, and though we never came away with any serious injuries or even substantial some of our friends took some mighty impressive tumbles. We never ever broke a trampoline, although a rather heavy-set friend of ours definitely bent his out of shape one afternoon. All that being said, we rarely saw disasters so spectacular as those featured in Epic Carnival’s listicle of the Top 10 Trampoline Fails, like this radically failed backflip (we were pros at backflips). Some competitive trampoliners do even worse, though. Look at the jump after the jump for proof.

After this spectacular fall in 1975, Richard Tison went on to win gold at the Olympics the following year.
