Obviously, making fun of the nuttier things people post on Craigslist is almost too easy, since these poor anonymous posters really have no way to defend themselves. On the other hand, it’s a free site and you’re asking for it when you post the kind of insane stuff featured in the Huffington Post’s hilarious listicle of The 19 Craziest Craigslist Ads, our favorite of which (though we won’t be answering it) is this proud owner of 4 cockroaches desperately looking to find them a new home.

Ads like this bring on a smile when you look at a pretty boring classifieds site like Craigslist. We are launching Localads.org in a couple of months to take on the giants like Craigslist and Kijiji by making the whole classified posting experience a “little less boring”.
