As a general nutritional rule, we’re always a little suspicious of foods that require a cute animated spokesperson to give them some kind of appeal they can’t achieve by just showing us the food. Gunaxin’s listicle of 25 Famous Animated Food Mascots does a good job of chronicling that very problem, and though we agree with putting Pillsbury doughboy Poppin’ Fresh at number one, we’re surprised the California Raisins below weren’t seeded (zing!) higher, and that our friend after the jump was totally left out.

The Sugar Crisp Bear: Admittedly, once you open the category up to include cereal mascots it’s really a packed field, but we love this Isaac Hays-smooth bear, especially in his early days of terrorizing granny.
