We’ve always taken a great deal of perverse pleasure from the absurd accoutrements pet-owners inflict on their so-called companions. We believe the rule on this should go something like: “Don’t dress your pet in a costume you would feel uncomfortable wearing.” Of course, in that case, we never would have dressed our cat as a coffee table that one time for three months (what? our living room felt incomplete otherwise).
