14 Pimped Bikes

We’d love to ride around town stuntin’ on our blinged-out bike (we’ll refrain from using the term “pimped” because we find it offensive), but honestly, the more inconspicuous your bike can be, the better. It won’t get stolen, it won’t matter when you fall (as we did, very drunkenly, on Friday) and it gets banged up, and it won’t cost you a fortune (in diamonds) to keep it in working condition.

All the bikes in Cool Material’s listicle of 14 Pimped Bikes would basically require a private garage to house properly, and are basically too precious to ride anywhere but your backyard. Still, they’re all pretty cool, especially the Barrio Dreams Custom Low Rider Bike, which we could totally picture riding along the beach side in Los Angeles, blinding people with our shine. That said, we’re a little surprised by the omission of an especially sociable (and drinking-friendly) bike, which you’ll find after the jump.

The Dutch Party Bike Fleet of Het Fietscafe

With room for 17 people (10 of whom have to peddle), this bar on wheels requires a sober driver and an amateur bartender (which is never hard to find), and from there it’s just a big, mobile, eco-friendly party. Just another amazing reason to move to the Netherlands.
