When/if we tie the metaphorical know with another person, animal or thing, we’ll likely forgo a traditional ceremony and just throw a big messy party. That said, if we keep one traditional wedding ritual, it’ll be the massive cake (because we love cake). And since we’ll presumably have to decorate the top of it somehow – wouldn’t a topless wedding cake spell some kind of disaster for the relationship ahead? – we’re pondering several of the great options in io9’s listicle of The 26 Nerdiest Wedding Cake Toppers.

So far we’re leaning towards the Optimus Prime-Smurfette topper at right, because we really love pop cultural mashups. We’re not completely committed to it though, we might try another out for a while. We’re not married to the idea.
