Michael Bay’s latest Ford commercial army recruitment propaganda blockbuster movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comes out this week, and we’re told it will feature all manner of nifty, techy shape-shifters, from building-sized behemoths to bug-sized crawlers. Of course, the latest installment in the franchise begun decades ago by toy-maker Hasbro has plenty of material to draw on, what with nearly every imaginable object and pop culture character having been turned into a Transformer at some point.

For proof (and a wish-list of future Transformer movie characters) we point you to Neatorama’s listicle of 20 Seriously Obscure Transformer Toys, which features everything from laptops to Star Wars characters to sex toys (NSFW). Some of them are fake, thankfully, but we were pretty surprised that the Nike-shaped Megatron and Optimus Prime Transformer toys pictured at right are real (although when in shoe-mode they aren’t wearable, sadly).
