When we were kids (like, two years ago) we had this amazing book of cutaways that featured diagrams showing the interior mechanisms of pyramids, submarines, opera houses, tanks, space shuttles and such. It was huge, colorful and chockablock full of facts, and we were pretty convinced it was the coolest book in the world – and that any cool book would have to be a cutaway book. WebUrbanist seems to share our view on cutaways, because their recent listicle of 15 Incredible Vehicle Cutaways re-lit our passion for insides-revealing illustrations. Of course, it’s even cooler when someone takes the time to create a real life cutaway, as Audi did to show off their new R8 roadster at a recent auto show, as seen at right.
