As you may have heard, a small news item out of Metairie, Louisiana about a man being attacked by another man who then bit off and ate part of his arm was taken by some as clear premonition of an upcoming zombie apocalypse. Many more dismissed it as a freak accident, which is exactly what all the people who die in the first wave of zombie movie attacks always say.
