10 Inventive Rubber Erasers
Today is Rubber Eraser Day, because on April 15, 1770, Joseph Priestly first discovered that scratching paper with rubber would remove any pencil marks from said paper. Little did Priestly know that his invention would not only enable the correcting and improving of all manner of written and drawn art, but would in fact become a medium in its own right. In tribute to Priestly, we present these 10 Inventive Rubber Erasers.

The delete one is delightful, but Ctrl-Z would be more accurate. As someone who works both digitally and with traditional mediums, I have, in moments of extreme frustration and caffeine deprivation, thought “Ctrl-Z” while drawing in pencil or pen. I once said it out loud and made the automatic finger movements. Not one of my greater moments.
Regarding the first one: You mean apropos. But whatev, it’s just exactly the opposite of irony.
