Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson

If you were weirded out by Barack H. Obama’s middle name, then this list probably isn’t for you. Sure, you may have heard of some of these before (like Harry S Truman and Moxie CrimeFighter Jillette), but you probably didn’t know that Elton John’s middle name is Hercules.

Frankly, the biggest surprise for us was that Mel Gibson, pictured at right, wasn’t at number one on Asylum’s listicle of The 15 Weirdest Middle Names. After all, it makes more sense that he’s gone completely batty over the years when you consider the horrible burden that he, Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson, has been shouldering. Our deepest sympathies go out to Hugh (John Mungo) Grant too.
