Growing up in France, I remember seeing my first Eddie Murphy movie, The Golden Child of Tibet, and thinking it was the funniest thing ever. Years went by, and I kept referring to The Golden Child as my favorite Eddie Murphy movie. Then one day I finally saw it in English, and was so horribly disappointed by Eddie Murphy’s real voice that I couldn’t even finish it. Turns out the guy who does his French dubbing has a much funnier voice, and if you ever get the option of watching The Golden Child in French or English, I’d recommend the former.
