Oh Ingrid, you make this whole listicle worthwhile.

Some lists just don’t pan out, you know? Like back at the end of November it was Winston Churchill’s birthday and we really wanted to create a listicle called “Top 10 Winston Churchill Scarecrows” because we knew of at least one. That turned out to be the only one though, so we scrapped the listicle and moved on, hoping that by November 30, 2009 more people would have created images of Chuchill as a scarecrow, viking, vampire, pirate or zombie (or any combination thereof).

At any rate, mental_floss seems to have run across a listicle idea that similarly only produced one memorable result, and thenkept at it. Their list of 10 People Who DIed on Their Birthdays starts off incredibly strong, then peters out to nothing. It’s a good thing we’re madly in love with Ingrid Bergman, too, otherwise we wouldn’t even be passing their listicle along to you, dear readers, for consideration.
