10 Moments in the Pillsbury Doughboy’s Life
Today is the Pillsbury Doughboy’s birthday. Happy birthday Poppin’ Fresh! (We didn’t actually know he had a real name until just now.) Created in 1965, Poppin’ was originally going to be an animated character, but instead first appeared in claymation. More recently he’s been depicted with CGI. Birthday Bonus: Poppin’ Fresh Crank Dat
It’s his birthday, he deserves to have a little fun.

I remember a real Pillsbury ad about 20 years ago in which he reached behind him and came up with a bunch of carrots. It looked for all the world like he pulled them out of his ass. It only ran for a few weeks before getting axed, but it was classically funny.
