Top 5 Old Super Bowl Ads

Famously, this year advertisers devised one second-long spots for the Super Bowl, foregoing any kind of narrative or gimmick for maximum impact spending slaps. We don’t like this. We think ads should at least be engaging, and ideally will build self-referential meta-narratives across different spots as they deploy their campaign (like Skittles, we love Skittles). Those kind of ads seem to be popular over at Gawker too, where Joshua Stein assembled a terrific listicle of the Top 5 Old Super Bowl Ads. We especially like these two Miller Lite ads from the 1980 Super Bowl:
