Top 10 Architecture Songs

We love listening to music in our room, our office and our music halls, but it had never occurred to us that we might listen to our room, office or music halls in our music. It took a terrific playlisticle from Flavorwire to help us wrap our mind around the idea, but now that we’ve read their Top 10 Architecture Songs we’ll be listening to Talking Heads’s “Don’t Worry About the Government” as we walk into our building tonight. Of course, Flavorwire leaves out a couple crucial architectural tunes (”architectunes”?), which we’ve included after the jump.

“Our House by Madness

A loving ode to working-class British domestic architecture, Madness takes us through the differently organized and occupied rooms of a typical family.

“Country House” by Blur

A parody of social mobility and rural poverty, the video adds an extra architectural dimension by re-imagining both home and song as a giant board game.
