6 Cool New Music Videos
Ever since MTV stopped actually putting music on television, we’ve only been able to keep up with music video currents in fits and starts. Our latest excursion into music video land produced these 6 Cool New Music Videos. Note that we’re not making any claims for the music they’re set to, but mostly just fawning over the video artistry.
Kanye West’s “Welcome to Hearbreak” (directed by Nabil Elderkin)
Yes, the pixelation is on purpose. Kanye is just that innovative.
The Voluntary Butler Scheme’s “Multiplayer” (directed by Simon Deshon & friends)
The Monty Python boys must be proud.
Towa Tei’s “Mind Wall”
We suddenly feel an urge to play The Sims again.
Whitest Boy Alive’s “Golden Cage” (animation by Geoff McFetridge)
Whoa. It’s like Harold and the Purple Crayon meets Yellow Submarine.
Hjorvar’s “See the Sea” (directed by Sigvaldi J Kárason and Björn Ófeigsson)
David Bowie is either very honored, or calling his lawyer.
Fleet Foxes’s “Mykonos”
This is by far the coolest abstract-minimalist stop-motion music video we’ve seen since, well, ever.
