Today is a rather weird day, no? It’s both Friday the 13th (the first of two consecutive Friday the 13ths, we might add) and Valentine’s Day Eve. (It’s also three days before Presidents’ Day, an entirely separate can of worms.) How are we to feel on a day loaded with such contradictory meanings? Scary? Romantic? Should we fudge it all and go patriotic?
