We know the Obama administration is up to its neck in financial reform and bailout messiness, but we also know that the squeaky wheel gets the grease (right?). In that spirit, we greatly appreciate this listicle from Slate suggesting 10 Bush Cases Obama’s Justice Department Should Redo. The list covers all kinds of DoJ injustice, including detention without trial, environmentalism, fair pay legislation and anti-discrimination policies.
The most interesting case we learned about from reading Slate’s listicle is number 10, involving the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s use of Baltimore’s housing projects as a holding cell for the region’s most marginalized and powerless African American populations.
