The 51 Loveliest American Lady Politicians

New Yorkers, meet your new Senator.

By the time you read this post, New York Governor David Patterson will have announced his pick to replace Hillary Clinton as New York Senator. The winner, after Caroline Kennedy dropped out, is Kirsten Gillibrand (pictured at right), an upstate Democratic Representative. Though we see Patterson’s fixation on finding a female replacement for Clinton in order to secure the female vote next year as slightly sketchy sexual politics-wise, we’re also about to tell you how attractive Gillibrand is, so we’re really no better.

Asylum recently compiled a listicle of the most attractive women in U.S. politics, picking one politician from each state and one from D.C. We’re shocked that Gillibrand was omitted from that list, but also surprised to see how U.S. politics – once the exclusive arena of old white men – are slowly becoming younger and prettier. For proof, check out Asylum’s listicle of the 51 Loveliest American Lady Politicians.
