18 Stately Fictional Flags

As we overdose on inauguration coverage today and tomorrow, we’ll be seeing so many American flags that by Wednesday we’ll think every blank surface is covered in stars and stripes. To complement the plethora of flags in today’s news coverage, we’ve been seeing a lot of a fictional flag being waved lately. All the commercials flooding the Interweb and other media for the new NBC series Kings prominently display a rather catchy butterfly flag (at right).

With all this flag-waving going on, we here at Listicles sought inspiring new designs in some of our favorite movies, shows, books and comics. Though we came across countless possibilities, we were able to narrow our favorites down to these 18 Stately Fictional Flags.
