Continuing on the turkey theme from this morning’s icy post, the icy Alaskan queen Sarah Palin pardoned a turkey on camera today, only to chitchat about nothing while it was unceremoniously slaughtered in the background:

Understandably, people with feelings like Change.org’s animal rights blogger Stephanie Ernst are horrified by the video’s apparent disregard for animal suffering, and Palin’s disastrous sense of what is and is not inappropriate (at least she’s consistently uncouth, right?). The overlooked insight of this video disaster, however, is how much Palin looks like a turkey. My quest to back up this claim didn’t quite yield the result I’d hoped for, but did lead to a pet-politician lookalike list featuring a pertinent entry…
